Catching my boyfriend in bed with my best friend was not how I expected I would end the semester.

After packing my bags, I booked the first flight home to Vermont, determined to spend the summer single, grounded, and distraction-free.

That is until Simon Murray—my brother’s quiet, ridiculously hot roommate—invites me to spend the summer with him in Canada.

He offers the proposition of an adventure. A change of scenery. Nothing more.

Without a clue of how to help her, I do the first thing that comes to mind and invite her to spend the summer in Canada with me.

I’m already going for hockey, so what would it really hurt for her to tag along?

What I didn’t count on was how hard it would be to ignore the way she laughs… or how natural it feels to wake up next to her in the apartment we now share.
